Programs of the Damou Christian Mission

The Damou Christian Mission is an important part of this community and at the heart of the mission are the school and church. Our enrollment has grown to more than 650 students from preschool through high school. Our students learn the fundamentals of math, science, as well as several language classes. All students are taught the stories of the Bible, the life of Christ, and Christian morality. Life skills and trades are also taught including farming and word working.

The Mission provides much more to the people of Jacmel, Haiti than simply a school. We touch the lives of people of all ages, offering an elderly care and an infant feeding program. The bakery helps us provide the students with a decent meal every day and helps generate income to keep our mission alive. We hope to add an orphanage and a vocational school in the future too.

Perhaps most importantly is that the Damou Christian mission brings the message of Jesus Christ to the people and gives them an opportunity to explore and express their spirituality. We offer worship services weekly, which are always well attended.
